This week’s spotlight is the spot to be if you live in or around the Oak Forest area or you’re just looking for a relaxed spot to drink.. For this week’s #NeighborhoodSpotlight join us as we talk to Brandee Boyle, one of the co-owners of Sassafras, to learn more about their business.
Sassafras was founded by bartenders from some other popular local spots: Big Star Bar and Grand Prize bar. They aim to be a neighborhood hangout and a place where you can get “fancy beer, cheap beer, above average wine, and tasty liquor.” It may come as a surprise but one of their most ordered cocktails is actually a sangria, of which they offer a red and a white option. It’s refreshing and perfect to sip on their expansive patio.
