Quick and Convenient Drive Thru Only Coffee Shop, Galleria Area, #movemetotx #NeighborhoodSpotlight

One thing that is common to a lot of other states and cities throughout the US, but foreign to Houston is the idea of drive through only coffee shops. Our spotlight this week was determined to change that and familiarize Houstonians with the idea and the concept. For this week’s #NeighborhoodSpotlight, join us as we talk to Marshall Brown, the owner of Clutch City Coffee.

The idea for Clutch City Coffee came from a combination of inspiration points. The first off being that the owners had come from Alaska where drive through coffee shops are available on every street corner. Secondly, with all of the traffic and commuting in Houston, it really didn’t make sense to them that there weren’t drive through coffee shops lined up and down the streets. They took this inspiration and ran with it with one vision in mind: shop small, shop local, serve quality. They also use a specially calibrated espresso machine so that they can preserve consistency, texture, volume, and ready to drink temperatures. The idea is the customer can be in and out in under two minutes and continue on with their busy day.
