Thai food that is unapologetically Thai and not made “American style” is just what Houston needed and that’s what Street to Kitchen brings to the table. For this week’s #NeighborhoodSpotlight​, join us as we talk to Chef G, Benchawan Jabthong Painter, and Graham Painter, the owners of Street to Kitchen. They started their business in 2020 as a delivery only spot and recently have made the transition over into a brick and mortar location.

Chef G had spent some time in other famous Houston kitchens, more specifically at SaltAir and Theodore Rex, which helped put her name on the culinary map. Eventually though, she wanted to branch out and had always had the thought in her mind that she was going to start a Thai restaurant in Houston that served Thai food the way that it is served back in Thailand. So even with the pandemic weighing most restaurants and businesses down, the Painters were able to open Street to Kitchen and experience wild success from the day they opened.
